The Oshkosh Hybrid Truck

Oshkosh have produced an impressive Hybrid Truck and although this truck is focussed on military applications, it is just as useful in humanitarian and e.g. U.N. aid programs.
The technology used is a precursor for what to expect in commercial heavy truck applications.


The HEMTT A3 (Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck) is according an Oshkosh press release the first production-ready, tactical military truck powered by an energy efficient diesel-electric drive system, calledProPulse®, that can increase fuel efficiency by 20 percent or more, depending on mission profile.

The HEMTT A3 is a heavy-payload, up to 13 tons, truck and is equipped with heavy-duty TAK-4® independent suspension that keeps the wheels on the ground, even in extremely rugged terrain, and combined with direct-drive, electrically driven wheels, can provide torque where it is most needed. The HEMTT A3 has height-adjustable suspension, which facilitates self-unloading of supplies.

Here you can clearly see the semi-active hydragas strut independent suspension system.

The truck has the ability to dodouble duty as a 200-kilowatt generator, has onboard diagnostics for simplified in-the-field troubleshooting and maintenance. Features a power pack - its engine/generator and charging system - that can be removed andreplaced in30 minutes or less, greatly reducing down time and simplifying in-field maintenance of major components.

The Hungarian Raba H18 military truck

The Raba H18 is a 6x6 military heavy utility truck. It's development began in the mid 1980s. The first prototype of this truck was based on the Soviet KamAZ 6x6 truck. The H18 entered service with Hungarian Army in 2004. Vehicle complies with NATO standards.

   The Raba H18 is completed with a MAN cab. Vehicle can be fitted with various bodies, that have a modular design. This military truck has a payload capacity of up to 10 t, depending on road conditions. It can tow artillery pieces or trailers.

   Vehicle is powered by a MAN turbocharged diesel engine, developing 280 hp. The same engine is used on other Raba military trucks. Vehicles used by Hungarian Army are fitted with speed limiters, set at 85 km/h. Vehicle is fitted with a central tyre inflation system. These military trucks have a planned service life of 20 years.

3.FM series (6x4)

Dilengkapi suspensi kuat dan stabil. FM 260 JD telah teruji sebagai truk yang terbaik. Dan FM 260 FM dengan spesifikasi khusus mixer, memiliki PTO pada flywheel mesin dan brake lock sebagai perlangkapan standar.

4.Tracktor Head
Truk 4x2 tractor head (SG 260 L) dan truk 6x4 tractor head trailer (FM 320 P) memiliki perlengkapan standar berupa coupler, konektor trailer, lampu kerja belakang dan rem trailer. Transmisi 9 kecepatan memberkan SG 269 J dan FM 260 P performa yang hebat di perbagai kondisi pengoperasian.

Konsep Trailer Mercedes-Benz Berbentuk Aerodinamis

STUTTGART (DP) — Mercedes-Benz berhasil membangun sebuah konsep trailer yang diklaim bisa menjadi bahan studi untuk penghematan bahan bakar hingga 5persen dan mengurangi hambatan angin hingga 18 persen bila dikenakan pada truk Actros.

Bernama Aero, kotak kargo raksasa untuk kendaraan angkut berat ini bahkan diasumsikan mampu melakukan penghematan belanja bahan bakar hingga 2.000 liter setiap jarak tempuh 150.000 kilometer. Sementara emisi yang dihasilkan berkurang 5 ton per tahun.

Mercedes-Benz mengatakan pihaknya mampu membuat kotak kardo aerodinamis karena telah berpengalaman dalam rancang bangun bentuk kendaraan selama 25 tahun terakhir.

Kargo ini juga bisa bekerja dengan sistem telematik sehingga bersahabat dengan fork-lift. Bentuk konsep kargo digendong truk Actros ini sendiri telah diperlihatkan pada ajang Trailer 2011 yang berlangsung sejak 25 hingga 29 November 2011 di Kortrijk, Belgia.
